Tarpon 120 mini hatches tip
« on: April 30, 2009, 09:45:17 pm »
My 2008 T120 has 3 hatches, one big one in the front, a small one in the middle and another small one behind the seat.  When I picked up my Tarpon one of the first things I noticed was that there was only one hatch bag and it was located in the hatch between my legs, the hatch behind me just opened up to the inside of the hull.  This bag, which is not waterproof, would drag on the floor of the kayak when anything was placed inside, this is no good if there is water in your hull.  I moved the bag from the middle hatch to the one behind me, it raised well above the floor and stays dry at all times.  I have since bought a second hatch bag for the other hatch to be used only with a drybag or otter box but if I hadn`t I would suggest switching it around.  A small but possibly useful tip to those with a tarpon!
