Yak attack Gear trak help!
« on: March 13, 2017, 08:57:58 pm »
Hey guys,
I am thinking about getting some yak attack gear track for my kayak this season. Does anyone know a good place to order it in canada? I looked through amazon.ca and a few other places but with shipping it comes to about 80 bucks for 1 12" piece of it. If anyone knows of a good spot to get it from or could point me in the right direction that would be great!

Thanks in advance!

I used aluminum T Track from Busy Bee tools, during a sale it was $9 for a 36" piece, reg. $14.  One thing you have to do is grind down the T bolt a touch so that it fits in the slot.  I've had it on my Ascend since 2014 and no issues at all with it.

Thanks Str8Yakn for the add on advice on the track and the tbolts. I have a mod for my camera mount and yakattack doesnt make a great bendable shaft for their line of product yet. Had to improvise the t head also. Looks like inexpensive alternative. Kinda like a Lee Valley Tools store.

That's awesome! Thanks guys!
I ended up going with 2, 8" Scotty low pro track it wasn't so much being able to move the rod holder the length of the board but be able to switch up rod holders and configurations depending on what kind of fishing I am doing! Thanks a lot for all the input!!
