I will definitely be in again, gotta defend my title!

One of our members switched to a new team so we have a spot if you need one, we would accept you since we know you are still an Alberta Angler at heart lol.

I can't wait for the season to start, getting sick of ice fishing...

If thats the case, I think a few of us would have already logged some nice fish lol.
Did I hear that someone already tried to do this?

It counts. Well it used to. I had asked the past owner of kw this question and he said it was legal a cording to the rules. Not sure what the new owners would think of it

So how does that work then? You'd just have to have your Kayak in the picture?

Rules on the website say you have to be fishing from your kayak.

Quote
All catches must be made from a kayak, SUP, canoe/hybrid, or a canoe 16 feet in length or less. No Wading or Out-Of-Kayak fishing. Fish must be hooked, fought and landed from the kayak.

There are open water spots if a guy finds them too. Some rivers often have open spots, man made dams/water flows, water bodies fed by hot water from power plants, aerated lakes, naturally spring fed lakes, pinch points in lakes with current or even windswept lakes may have open water.

I found multiple open water spots early last season. Took a little detective work to find them but if I can find them around Edmonton I am guessing some of you guys should be able to find some too.

If fishing cold water and especially if it is flowing water exercise extreme caution and really you should be using a drysuit or floating safety suit.

We have a lot of open water here, but around the launch areas its pretty sketchy.  Saltwater fishing this time of year is totally useless unless I want to go 10+ kms offshore.
I have all the gear for cold water.

All signed up and just filled our team with another local member that wanted to try it out.

I see two new Canadian teams so far. We Smell Like Fish is another Alberta team and another new member CANLIQ is registered too(not sure from where though).

Should be a good year, they are already getting some more sponsors and I know they plan on having a few more skirmishes and other things like that offering more ways to win prizes.

Got a brother named Kurtis, he's not a PITA, you worried about points? , where's the sport
If sitting in a yak on ice ?
I'll rant a bit, ethically the max. you should be able to post on a day is your daily limit.
Just saying KW a bit of a blood bath, I have stopped lake trout fishing on occasion, cause limit is 2 here, including ones in freezer, and if badly hooked, ie, bleeding have to keep. If have 2 bleeders, must STOP !
KW would be better if daily limits good be programmed in. But then there's the bass slay, and they mainly release fairly well. 2 limits ?, ...

Bla Bla, can't wait to go chase !
Snag or Fish? Weed or Fish? Oh,Fish-On !
