Did they mention how thick the thermoform was?
I know a fellow CKA member that has one (made by a Canadian company out of BC), and although they advertised it as a boat for standing up in, it cracked on the 1st go.  After reading more online, the material doesnt hold up well for stand up applications.

Hopefully Jackson has worked on this.

Lol its made by Jackson ...
Not worried  about that ...
...Jackson is one of the Best kayaks made. They are top of the line this is why I use a Jackson Kayak..
Everyone that I have talked to that has a Jackson Kayak . Says they are Very  happy with there Jackson kayak and have had No problems. .

That is to bad about your buddy's kayak you said it was made in Canada by who ?????

If he is looking  for a well made Yak I would say go with a Jackson made kayak .
