WOW...58.75...that is awesome Brent...well done....that is going to be hard to catch for sure....my time is now pretty limited but I am going to give it an honest run...I've been tagged 3rd now in a couple of tourney's, although I am very grateful for those fortunate finishes, I'd love to improve that a wee bit and finish in top 2.

Many of us thought LSC, Detroit river and lake Erie smallies would dominate this
challenge. Bit of a surprise that, that is not happening. Leaderboard tightening,
one week to go.

Plenty of SM around the 16" to 19" size,  but we will get to see what the Elites find this weekend on those 3 bodies of water.  With parts of the Western Basin Lake Erie and LSC south shore still choked out with the Blue Green Algae, it won't be the same water the Elites had 2 years ago when they were here.

$ 20 lottery ticket to the man who can get out enough and catch the winning 3  fishes within inches of others . Poor , rich doesnt matter. Have the lucky fish and 3 of them and collect your cash. Goodluck guy.

There's some nickels being caught. Most figure you have to go out into Lake Erie or Lake Huron
to win the 4 day event.

The bite at the event on the St. Lawrence this year was way off compared to last year and the year before too. Blaming the cool summer for slowing the deep water bite.

He's a hint on where to fish.

The longest bass in the GOBC so far is a lake Huron fish.
