I miss my old hawg trough although it wasn't large enough for many of the pike I catch. They definitely aren't meant to hold a large fish especially with nothing supporting the underside though. The frabil/plano bump boards are no better in that regard though, maybe worse as they pop apart...

What is nice about the hawg trough is that it is fairly sturdy and super light. Weight is a big issue for me now with all the crap I usually take out with me. I have to get a better battery or fish finder system set up cause carrying a bigger battery was horrible this summer but better then only getting 3 to maybe 5 hours out of the smaller batteries...

M.A. came out here to NB along with a group of others to go fishing with me, he was in one of my Tridents there, lol.   Was a great visit and all of them caught some sturgeon.    M.A. must have caught 8 - 10 through the two days.

I think you spot on Brent.  Both Tim and I caught Muskie on December 15th, last year, but we were dodging ice flows, hopefully we won't have any of that this year.

I am most likely done for the year. Lakes are freezing up out here and temperatures are dropping even more so its looking like our season is done.

I sandbagged a little these last couple weeks, hopefully it will be enough to overcome the longer seasons down east. Ended up doing a lot better then I expected this year considering I was more focused on my other personal goals. 65 Gold man points and 20 more to come for records so 85 total for me.

Great job dude. Excellent points.  Ive already achieved my goal for the year .Goldman points that i hope can hang on to top spot. Im getting last licks in on freezer fish (panfish) and avoiding the bigger fish points. One weekend left for possible goldman points with crappie, bluegill, perch.pike or lm bass. After that have to cut my season short for surgery. This year looks like we could fish till new year with warmer temps rightnow, wind just the issue for last 2 months. Brent will post quite a few fish by then, and Curtis wont stop till frozen in yak.lol

Job well done Tyler.
That's a lot of fish caught.
You guys ever doubted where the best freshwater fishing and kayak anglers are in the world ?
Well except perhaps Trout Mafia's lake Michigan.
Will be fun to watch KC and Shooter to the end.

( 48 more fish to go ...  ;) )

5 of top 10 fresh water teams are Canadian.

5 of top 11 fresh water individuals are Canadian.

3 of top 7 total inches(salt and freshwater combined) are Canadian.

3 of top 9 for goldman points are Canadian.

Yeah I would say we did all right considering how there were only 50 Canadians of the near 900 entrants this year.

The yaks /rods/gear and fishing stuff all sitting in garage for the year. Was an amazing year of fishing and perhaps some ice fishing mid January. The canucks did pretty dam good and im sure a few late stragglers will hold out for some more fishing till freezeup. Plenty of hrs and entertainment along the way. Im done due to an operation ive put off all summer to have done this morning. Will explain that another day.
