Battery question
« on: March 05, 2015, 09:40:00 pm »
Ok so I picked up a humminbird 386ci, my question is can I run this on the same battery from my humminbird ice 35? (12v 7.2ah) or is there one that will give me better performance/longer use? Iam slightly electricity incompetent so any help would be great

If im not mistaken there are other options.
There is a member on here, that was making alternative power sources cmurphy is his name.
In my personal experience the 12v battery will give you quite a bit of juice though.  More than enough for a day or 2

That's great to hear, then I could run one battery between my flasher and my sonar.

You can get a 12V 9ah in the same size as the 7ah. Depending on your budget you can look at Battery Tender batteries.

I run a 9ah 12v ups battery for my fish finder. Similar to this one http://m.ebay.com/itm/171694001201?nav=SEARCH
I run all season with out charging it.
I do have a low end Lawrence ff and the power draw is not 2 high. Imo this is the way to go

Princess Auto will likely have these batteries as well.

I just picked up 12v 12ah battery yesterday at a local electrical store for $36 tax in. That should run even a higher end color sonar unit for 2 days without a re charge!
