2015 Tourney Events Please
« on: November 26, 2014, 02:08:07 pm »
Hello fellow yakers....As 2014 draws to a close for fishing, I thought it would be great to have info on next years tourneys.  I realize it's early, but as our sport grows, there are bound to be more tourney's organized.  Having that knowledge I believe would be beneficial to plan your time next season...vacations etc...so for all the tourney organizers out there...CANADA WIDE...please post your info and a link if possible...I am gathering all the links and will put them on all the forums that I frequent.

So far I know of the following:

OKFS
www.ontariokayakfishingseries.com

The BCC is June 27th

No-Mo Charity Kayak Fishing Tournament
When: Sunday May 17th
Where: All Michigan waters with weigh-in at Kensington Metropark
Cost: $65 early registration, $75 late registration
Windsor, Ontario

Hey Bo,

I've scheduled the 2 NB Kayak Fishing tournaments for pretty much the same weekends that we had them this past year.

http://nbfishingderbies.com
NB Paddler's Derby:  June 20th, 2015
Hammond River Classic:  Aug 22nd, 2015

I'm hoping to build on the sponsors and hence prizes last year where everyone walked away with at least their registration fee worth of prizes.   Already it looks like I've got interest from 6 or 7 new companies, so things are looking promising.

Of course, a new kayak will be given away at both events randomly to one participant.   It looks like Paul is still good to sponsor that this year, and we have OutdoorsNB also looking to try to get us a kayak for the Hammond River Classic!

I'm hoping this is pretty good first post :D
Quebec will have its' first kayak fishing tournament on june 20,2015 located in Noyan, Quebec.
The Sleepy Hollow Kayak Fishing Tournament will take place within an hour of montreal and 20 minutes from the Vermont border.
Those from Eastern Ontario might also find the the drive well with it.
We are proud to have Yakattack and Rapala on board as sponsors. More to come... A minimum of 80% of funds taken in will go back to those participating. We are working hard to ensure that everyone will experience a great day at a well organized tournament.  Our intentions are to follow uo this event with a second adventure in Aug/Sept.
For more details please visit our site, blog and Facebook page through
www.Que-Yak.ca. Hope to see you there!
