No need ,mostly bass fishing  because they are just in season Sat. . If muskie, will just jig along the riverfront and mouth of river has been the most productive method anyways. The other drum, white perch, white bass, cats mostly caught jigging. From where the sportsmen club across the street u catch all these species including possible few pike and gar, carp. The mouth of the river and Peche Island right there. Will be hot and muggy predictions so far for weekend

Thanks Shooter. Been eyeing the forecast. Looks to be around 30+ and feeling like 40+ should be abit of a shock to the system for this prairie boy.

Anybody else camping Thursday night at Riverside??

If last year can be used as an indication there should be about a dozen or so campers (tents, trailers, etc.) at the Sportsmans Club.

Richard any spots this year reserved for BBC parking?  Campers last year had most of the west corner of the sport club parking....   if the parking lot full there extra parking west up the street where few needed to park last year Saturday and Friday night captain meeting.

There were few truck+trailers taking up 2 spots and of course 2-3 spots for "Le Chateau"  ;D

Don't know how much the numbers has increase this year but if you are camping maybe those that come early can help reserve some spots in the corner.  The sport club/bar still open for the regular public.  There were no parking on the grass field last year b/c of the tent for wigglyfest  :'(

FYI for those new to the BBC,  the sport club is actually a bar/restaurant that has a large dining hall attach to it where BCC booked for Saturday evening.
So those that are camping don't really need to pack extra food/cooking equipment or drive anywhere.

You can order burger/sandwich/wings/beer inside... Regular bar/restaurant with sport on the TV and AC.

Here a picture of location, camping tents last was just off the parking area bottom left "west side" on the grass.   Beach launch is across the road and few  houses to the left "west" or you can drive a minute west and launch at the kayak ramp with parking.  If you have a cart it very easy to just wheel your kayak to the beach top left corner of the picture below.  Peche Island is just top left.

across from the beach launch there a pretty good pizza/ice cream shop  :P
See you all Friday... and for those in shock yes am still alive..

Camping on grass adjacent the Event Tent.  That was where we were supposed to camp last year.  All vehicles from campers can park by where they set up trailer/tent

Richard is the fence up this year, last year there was a fence with only a gap so ppl can walk to the wigglyfest tent.

Remember Derek and his brother having to toss there tent/gear over the fence.
