BCC is a week away!
« on: June 20, 2014, 08:24:15 am »
I will be sending out an email soon to anyone registered with details of the event.

One of the questions that came up is American Licenses.  Since it is just over a mile from a couple of the launches on the Canadian side to American water, you have the possibility of fishing in Michigan water.  If you want to pre-fish for Bass, you can only do it on the US side.  You have the option of the 24hr for $10.00 or the 72 hour for $30.00  + the $1.00 Sportcard.

Here is the site for online purchase.

Me too.

Do the rules require us to take out at the same location we put in?

Hey guys i also will be fishing most of the weekend. If Curtis or anybody else wants to target other fish species just say the word. Colchester for Walleye /Detroit river for Muskie/Bass/Other. . Im sure many of the local guys would help out or join us.

don't forget in Colchester the Bass are at least a half pound heavier than a Lake St. Clair Bass of the same length.  That is where I will be doing my bass fishing when the lake isn't too rough.

I'll be there for Sat (of course) Sun & Mon. Wouldn't mind trying some new water if it's not too far from home (Le Chateau) at the Sportsman's Club.

Calling for rain Sunday now :( but the forecast keeps changing.  For Friday we will probably launch from the beach by the river mouth head out a little deeper and troll for musky.  Any advice on a better plan?

Good plan Dave. The dropoff along beach all the way down to the marina. Get yourself a couple bondy baits. Black, pearl or vomit for jigging.

I keep changing my mind in whether to go or not. Haven't found someone to share
the long drive from the Ottawa area.

Anyhow, going!

Guess I'm driving to the Sportsman Club Friday night, okay to show up at say 10 pm ?

Rick or Rich or other can you pm your cell numbers to me, it would be nice to have a
contact # in case I get lost or in trouble.  :D

For alternate fishing besides tourney day, would like to get a drum, white bass and white perch !
Figure BB for those and chuck some plugs for ski ( have a bondy bait too ).

Should be fun and looking forward to meeting everyone.  :)

Do you guys think its worth bringing a heavy action trolling rod?? Already have three rods packed. Not 100% sure if that would be overkill. Can't Wait...
