Wow,
You have made it a "Not to Miss Event " Richard.
I just registered and will be heading down.
Just picked this up too, might even the playing field a bit, and think
the previous owner Ashley is heading down too.  ;)

Glad to hear you are coming down!  Congrats on the new ride, this long winter has seen a number of us switch to pedals.  Karen and I are planning to be in the area through till July 1st and usually a number of guys make a long weekend of it, so you may want to extend the trip and make the drive worth while, maybe get a bowfin!

Looks like I'm all in for this event. One question. Can My wife and son stick around for the dinner/awards? As this is my first tourney, I am not sure of what all goes on, or what I need to do or know for this event. I'll try registering later tonight or tomorrow. Can't wait.
Cheers!

When you register, there is an option for dinner only.  How old is you son?

Bring him along, he'll fit right in since there's a mental age formula that kicks in on days when you go yakfishing: chronological age -> go yakfishing -> divide by 10 = new mental age!  ;D ;D

The Hobie Nation has grown for sure . Bet you guys are anxious to get  your new rides out too. I'm looking forward to stand-up fishing for say muskie and bowfin. I'm actually hoping the white bass are still around while down there, need one of those too.  ;)
Noticed that "Kyle" lad does well in the river the last 2 years, and De-Tension does well fishing the lake.
Looking forward to seeing friends and meeting new faces for sure and will be staying for at least Sunday.

EEF....There are so many places to fish it's really anyone's game to win...there are some very quality fish in the river as well in the lake....over near the island...I'm pretty sure nobody will go fishless.

I hope that I will be able to go to it thsi year and go visit friends and folks in the area at the same time. It all pending with work schedule in the Navy its hard to plan ahead since we deploy alot on short notice. Hopefully we will be able to sign up last minute if I can get vacation for that time frame :)

It is lake 2 vs. River 1 so far.  Consider Detension has placed in the 2 years he didn't win, but so has Kyle in the 2 years he has competed.  Fishing the River, you have to know where the fish are, The lake is timing and the good spots are common knowledge.  I will add that all 3 years the big fish were all caught before 10am.

River monsters in my site this year believing the late season will keep them in there. Just dependant on the winds. Hope to see more people this years. Late late season no sign of warm weatherfor next 2 weeks
