I too have plenty of choice 4-letter words for winter this year....

But it shouldn't be long now.

Well I don't think anyone in Central Alberta will be doing much fishing of any kind this weekend. Overnight tonight -39 (-51 windchill) and a balmy -38 (-48 windchill) tomorrow am. Think I will be rearranging tackle boxes this weekend and doing some wood working projects!!!

Not too bad here on the coast but the timing of the wind storms is driving me nuts. Yesterday on the way to work the water was flat calm sunny and the temp hit 10 degrees. Today the forecast is for 60k winds. This is the 3rd weekend in a row.  :(. I think I feel some mid week piscine fever coming on!

I just saw my first real sing of spring ion the way home for lunch. marsh creak if open and full to the banks. with the current freezing rain, this could be the first flooding of spring. not legal to fish that creak for another 2 weeks, but at least it looking better than the 3+' of ice in the main rivers.

They have 4 carp for 2014 so far. No haven't seen them on any other forum. Pretty sure the White brothers are fishing in Ontario and
are just having fun and are representing our aboriginal people.

MichaelAngelo is off to a great start this year and am sure he'll catch a bunch of species. Almost had him on our team, but
Dave coaxed him to his team. WTG Michael.

Thanks . Yep young micheal out to fish , great for daves team. The fishing somewhat erratic this year. Superwarm on weekend and windy and snow expected for most of east ontario then back to nice again. Unreal. Fishing this year will be interesting with all early season tournies sure to be slow ,low catches and unexpected from the cold
