The Ovens, Nova Scotia
« on: September 02, 2013, 09:32:04 pm »
I finally got my computer back from the shop and sorted out a little video from my saltwater trip off the Ovens sea caves. A bit of fishing, a bit of scenery, it was a really cool spot to paddle.

Sweet Vid transplant.

Out of curiosity what species of fish was the first catch in the video? Never fished salt water myself before so forgive my ignorance.

Very cool spot. My brother in law took me kayaking there about 10 years ago--loved it. The sound when the swell roars up those tuunnels and hits the end is awesome. No gold tho!

Our campsite was perched on top of the cave I paddled into. It was an amazing spot to camp for sure.

And no gold for me either. There was a couple guys on the beach collecting material that looked like they knew what they were doing, but they drove a crappy car and didn't look happy to be there, so I lost all incentive to try :)
