the other pics an otter but i believe that is a huge muskrat but it tail way way big for one. There is signs of beaver in the area around crystal bay. will try to see him again. thanks. just waiting to see if anyone finally spots the cougar sited here for the last couple yrs lololol.

Yup, us BC guys know our beavers. The ones from Nelson and Tofino are especially hairy.

I would say Otter
I have seen them on thier back like that floating in the weeds
Google Otter images and you will find one that is almost identical.
