Blackpak review............anyone?
« on: July 08, 2013, 07:31:44 pm »
Anyone drop the 125.00 bucks for this yet? I have heard people call it the overpriced milk crate but I kinda like it just curious if anyone has it.

Yes, I didn't drop the $125 but I won a $200 Gift Certificate from Hook1 and I have everything I need so I selected something that I otherwise wouldn't have bought.  "The YakAttack Blackpak"

After assembling it and trying it out on both my Revolution and PA12 it will now replace my Shimano Bag and Precision Pac Milkcrate.
Reason!

It straps down conveniently with the bungees on both kayaks.  It packs a lot of gear, and it is rigid which my Shimano Bag isn't.

It is too soon to tell if I would have bought it for that kind of money, but I am very pleased with the Blackpac so far.

Here is a pic in the Revolution.  You can turn it 90 degrees in the PA12.

Yes, I noticed that too.  It will take the smaller size though.  For me I don't take big Planos out with me anymore anyways.  I try to take as little tackle as I am going to need.

Check out this story and pics.  He had a Blackpac strapped into his Outback and didn't lose a thing.
