Hey Allen, what on earth are you hanging onto in your Avatar?  I even saved the picture down to my pc to blow it up, but I still can't work it out.  It almost looks like the tail of a dolphin.

Actually the Salmon Shark fishing was something I always wanted to do around there, but it seemed that unless you were after Salmon or sturgeon (or the trout) no one knew of any other fishing around there.

Aww Dave, you're one brave dude.  I thought Allen was the "Xtreme" kayak angler and nuts...really hardcore...but looks like there are more die hards like you out there.  Kudos to you guys.  I don't know if I'll ever be that brave.  After watching the Salmon Shark video, those dark black eyes staring back at the camera....oooohhhhh....scary stuff.

Okay that crap is insane... I want in... Even if it was to hold the camera and video tape but I want in on that action... that stuff don't get to extreme for me... you try going down some rapids in a sea kayak and then tell me about extreme... after you eskimo roll one of those things in freezing water temps and come out to talk about it then you have a story...

Amazing video.  Got me trawling through all kinds of insane kayak fishing vids on you tube.  Holy Crap!!!
Have any of you guys ever tried sturgeon from your Yaks?  I fished the Fraser a lot for them when I was there, but I couldn't imagine how you could present a static bottom bait for them from a kayak???

You can be the first to land a 6 foot plus White Sturgeon off the yak when you get here....But you gotta come quick because people are after it...lol

I'm not too greedy, I don't have to be the first.  But certainly getting in on the action would be sweet. ;)

Many white sturgeon have been caught off of kayaks down in Northern California.  A few undersized have been caught on the Columbia.

Presenting a static bait?  Anchor, of course!

Ask a silly question....  :D
I suppose the only conceivable problem would be fishing in the really deep (50feet) holes, or do you guys have enough room on your yaks for 50 feet of anchor rope?

Dave I watched oone guy (Babe Winkleman) land one out of a float tube and it was bigger than 7 feet... oh sure it pulled him around for a bit and he had a boat close by to keep a watchfull eye but he landed it...LOL... can't wait to see those pics of you and a sturgeon in a yak.

The vid Ex mentioned about the float tube Sturgeon had me out of my seat in awe too!
