I was looking online this weekend and watched a couple diy measuring board projects....really easy and very sturdy....can make em as long as you want or you could scale it down for general fishing....as for everyone i'm sure, space is always the issue...especially for me...in my little boys kayak.....but...i think i've figured out a way to keep a smaller general fishing bump board for everyday and quick access.....as well as a larger 60" board for the opportunity to measure out a muskie....I planning to bring 3 rods with me every trip...two general rods rigged up differently and one muskie casting rod. I figure I can bring one or two of my fav muskie lures and cast for a bit if i'm in the right area for muskie...gotta get them points...so i'll need to stow a larger measuring board all the time....

have a look at this link....i'm going to make one with this plan....i've been thinking of how to make a 40" for everyday use that i can store but have easy quick access....then in the event i hook into a decent pike or muskie, quick attach the extension to the board to measure up to 57"   I ordered 6 of the 321fish.com measuring stickers....i like how they look against the white vinyl board....just need to figure out how to connect the extension so it's quick and easy....i have another idea but i don't want to put it out in the public forum....scotty mounts might like this idea....i'll tell you about it or show you next outing.  here's the link

Here's one I've made a few times for friends etc. Works well and they've been around since the first year of the Eastslope Tourney. 4'' PVC with cap glued on and cut in half length wise. Throw on a Fish measuring decal and done. Works great.
