That Mako Shark in the pic weighed in at just over 100lbs! It was caught near the West end of Catalina Island in Southern California, when I lived there some years ago. That fish was taken on fairly light tackle, and jumped clear of the water quite a few times, as Mako Sharks tend to do!!!!  8)

I have always liked fishing for big fish from a small boat, and I have always wanted to do the same in a Yak. I knew of a few guys that fished Thresher Sharks from Yaks while I was out there, and it looked like a blast, but never tried it. I purchased my first Yak recently, so I am going to make it a quest to catch a shark this summer.

If anyone is interested in testing out a Jackson Cuda or Coosa in the Muskoka, Ontario area I'd be happy to take ya out. I should have them in the next week or two.
