Just something for everyone to consider when they make their boards:

I have the same one John posted. It's only 20" long when collapsed. It still doesn't fit anywhere reasonably well in my kayak without sticking over the side or being put somewhere that I can't access it easily. So unless I'm specifically going fishing for something that I want to enter in AOTY, I leave it at home. I can't imagine what you guys are doing with your 4 foot long chunks of 4" PVC pipe.

i actualy tuck mine up under the top deck, where a couple plano boxes are designed to fit. a 4 foot would only stick out a couple inches there or i could shift it to beside the seat or on/in the back deck. in my older kayak i run it up the center lying on the deck. i find the net more of a pain in the butt. if my net wasn`t floating i would have lost it five times last year, 3 of them at the tourney bob went over at.
oh, and i don`t trust that little piece of foam at one end of the bump board. it comes apart...  i now lay mine along my paddle handle for any good size fish. it`s time for me to reblacken the numbers again.

I could measure my own height on that thing.  So, what's the longest measure yet?  I like this and I think this is what my plan is.

On the Coosa I added longer bungee on the side where the Paddle/Rod Holder is and clip it there.Or I can also fit under my seat.Ahh the seat!

taking a look back at some of my pictures, i noticed i had a bit of trouble with fish rolling off it if i rested it on the paddle shaft. we need a wfn measurement team following us around - lol!
