Date: April 2, 2010
Species: Rainbow Trout
Location: Jacko (Jocko) Lake, BC
Tackle: Fly: Leech

I put two photos in as it was really hard to get the yak in there along with the fish and I was struggling with the camera, and the wind - terrible weather!

So the first is of the fish and yak and the second is me with the same fish. I better get a better camera setup :D

Great idea for a contest.

Here's one where I actually got a photo before the fish leapt out of my hands. They didn't want to cooperate today for some reason :D

Awsome brookie, Wayne! Looked like a one pounder? I can't believe how bright she was for a lake brookie. Almost looked sea-run! The only thing missing on her to be a searun was the blue hue around the 7 red dots along it's lateral line, which seem to be missing altogether.

That's EXACTLY what he said! :D

Stroover, thanks for giving me an excuse to post another photo :) I think that it looked extra bright because of the angle I held it at - it should have been more upright. Here's another fish from the same day that I didn't use because I once again, didn't get the kayak in it. In this picture I think you will find your spots along the lateral line as it isn't shining so much light back. This guy has a funny look to him because his lower mouth sticks out.

Ohhhhh! beatiful fish, Wayne!!!! But still, that looks awfully searun to me! I'd bet you $20 if you kept one and opened her up, she'd be just as pink as a salmon! What a beauty!!!! (this is better then porn! lol!)

how do you get to take the picture with that xShot? How do you push the button with it all the way on your bow? Do you have some sort of remote controle on your camera?

Wayne are you using an Xshot mount? Or is it on something in your sail plug in?

I use my Xshot by setting the self timer then extending and waiting the few remaining seconds for the shot to go. I have since ordered the mount for it and a remote capable cam, should be allot easier as it will always be setup for that perfect hero shot. Now all I gotta do is catch something other than cold
