Title: KastKing / Piscifun Baitcasters, Anyone tried Them ?
Post by: EagleEyesFlash on March 01, 2018, 03:39:05 pm
I noticed on Amazon while looking at Baitcasters a lot of economical made in China reels.
First thought was, " Can't be much good", however they have a lot of really good reviews.
Also most of the popular KastKing and Piscifun reels are sold out or just a few "lefts" left.
We have to wait for a new batch to be made and guess some new models too. Anyhow I just ordered
a Piscifun Torrent for $47.98, to give a try, WTF.  Piscifun Phantom/  KastKing Speed Demon look great.

Anyone tried these reels out ?

Let us know how that reel works Flash. I've also seen them on Amazon and wondered about them but I haven't tried any of them.

I've bought a few cheapie spinning reels that were Chinese made.  I've had good luck with them.

Kingkast seems to be legit and a decent reel.
I bought the cheapest baitcaster I could find on eBay 3 years ago. Think it was 20 bucks. And it still holding up strong. It is also the ream that I use most often.

Received Piscifun Torrent. 18 lb drag with carbon fibre drag appears way better than a Caenan.
Pretty cool business success story of upper New York state lads getting the Chinesse factory to build reels
with their specs... reverse engineering..change /upgrade parts and then to make fastest baitcaster on market ( KastKing ). Could only be better if were Canadian lads doing. Probably a market for cheaper Inline planer boards while doing.

Reel fells solid but needs a proper lube and grease job. Still learning how to tear down reels , clean and just a dab of lube.

Get them before the Tarriffs !
